General Agriculture Machinery course is a 3 hr. credit course offered for students majoring in different majors except Agriculture Machinery Engineering major. The course covers various aspects of farm machinery beginning with a review of the history of machinery application in agriculture, then an overview of different types of tractors and their application for different field operations. Engine basic operation and its components is the next topic covered in this course. Internal combustion engine fuel systems and differences are briefly covered and tractor power train systems are elaborated on to some extent. In the second portion of the course different machinery including soil tillage, planting, field work and harvesting machinery fundamental operations and applications are fully covered.
